Fixed up front pricing and no extra charge for off hour work. I contacted Lanz because I was considering installing up to four mini-split air conditioners on the second floor of my rental house after the tenant asked whether I could have them installed because the upstairs felt too warm.Lanz promptly sent Ty to inspect the house, measure the rooms, and provide an estimate.Instead of immediately preparing a quote, Ty first noticed that several of the upstairs vents were closed. That alone would certainly reduce the airflow from the central air conditioning system. To make sure nothing else was wrong, he carefully inspected the existing HVAC system, checked the attic and ductwork, and measured the temperatures upstairs, downstairs, and outdoors. After a thorough inspection, he concluded that the air conditioning system was working properly and that there was no need to install additional mini-split units.This was a very pleasant surprise.Over the years, I have had several HVAC technicians from different companies inspect various issues at my rental properties. Too often, I have been told that I needed to replace expensive equipment, with estimates ranging from several thousand dollars to well over $10,000. Later, I would ask a handyman to take another look, and in several cases, a simple repair solved the problem and the HVAC system worked perfectly again.Because of those experiences, I truly appreciated Ty's honesty. He could have simply given me a large estimate for installing four new mini-split systems. Instead, he took the time to carefully evaluate the house and honestly told me that I didn't need them.On top of that, even though he spent quite a bit of time evaluating the house, I wasn't charged anything for his visit.That gave me confidence that he was looking out for my best interests, not just trying to make a sale.I'd like to say that Lanz is lucky to have someone like Ty working for them. But perhaps Lanz deserves the credit as well. If Ty's honesty reflects the way Lanz trains its employees, then they have built a company that values integrity over making a quick sale.For that reason, I will definitely call Lanz again whenever I need an honest HVAC inspection or advice. It is refreshing to find a company that truly puts the customer's interests first and values honesty and professionalism.Thank you, Ty, and thank you, Lanz!

I thought I had a blocked sump pump, some nasty-looking sludge in the basement and some standing water but not a flood, so no emergency, right?It turned out to be a blocked sewer line that was adding water to the basement every time I took a shower, did the dishes, etc, etc……Shannon came within an hour of my after-hours call to Lanz, and spent two hours in the dark in my mosquito-infested driveway restoring my ability to use water. He was pleasant (“They’ll only itch for a little while”) professional, and patient and clear with his answers to all my questions. I appreciate Shannon in particular and would definitely call Lanz again.

Well, my heater system went out in December 2025. I needed a heater replaced, it could not be repaired, I was told by Lanz, then I was told the heater cannot be replaced without replacing an air conditioning system as well at the same time. They said don't worry, you're pre-approved and there's no interest for 5 years. I paid $12,600 to have a heater and air conditioning unit replaced, December 2025! I had heat again so I had peace of mind, but I have 2 jobs now. The air conditioning started going on in May, someone came out and checked it in May and said it was great, running great. Here we are, June 30th yesterday. I had thermostat set at 72, I came home 7:30 in the evening from my second job, and it was 78° inside... called lanz, someone came out said he thinks there's a part that was put on, that really wasn't necessary. He was waiting for the part. NO EXPLANATION ON THIS PART UNNECESSARILY THERE! Someone will call me when it comes in. A kid came out because when I came home today, July 1st, it was 76 at 2:30 this afternoon, he said there is a hose like thing sitting on top of unit has no cap, he doesn't know why but it doesn't have a cap so outside air is coming in, again he's unsure why they didn't put a cap on it! Thats two issues now he states since the installation in this 'brand new' unit. he also said he was reaching out to his supervisor for assistance and waiting on the other part but it should start cooling off soon.The part will be here tomorrow and they would contact me to install it. He left over an hour ago, it was 78° now, 6:45. It is 81°. I asked him what I should do before he left, if it gets warmer?And he said , yeah , I really don't know he then recommended I get a humidifier!

We have the Blue Comfort Family plan, so we are already comfortable with the work Lanz does. With the regular maintenance it was found that a capacitor in the furnace and a/c unit needed replaced. Matthew and Brian were able to replace them just a few days after and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!!

Technician came unprepared. Spent have of his time on phone - looked like he was googling what to do. Tried to upsell unnecessary items. Stated they had to completely purge refrigerant before adding more (you don’t). Did not bring refrigerant with him even though the need for it was the main reason Lanz was called. Tech stated he would have the office call to make a new appointment to add refrigerant- have yet to hear from them (it’s been 5 days).

We had a maintenance visit scheduled for 6/9/26, before Lanz arrived midday our AC quit cooling…how lucky or unlucky were we?! Unfortunately it wasn’t repaired this day, bummer for sure, but first thing the next day, we received a call from Lanz that they had a tech on the way! It took some time but our AC was cooling again!! As every other visit Lanz has made to our house, they gave us Outstanding service in every aspect. This time, the tech never gave up, and he eventually found our problem. We haven’t had anymore problems. We appreciate every Lanz tech that has serviced our home, they have been outstanding, thank you!!

Called and got an estimate took several days to receive it. Told them a date to start after. Didn't hear from you until I sent a email. Thought you should have had better communication. Installers were great but one piece was cracked and they had to come back and didn't know how long it would take to get new piece. Last we paid our bill but Lanz didn't subtract our down payment. I had to call to get it fixed and instead of credit to my card you are going to send a check. I think Lanz needs better communication with the customer. The price was a little high I think but I know with everything going up it is hard. But the installers were very good and clean. They did a great job.

Lanz is a company to trust in. Being a person with years of general "contracting" and minor repairs, I recognize and differentiate between B/S and the ones who get the job done expeditiously with reasonable prices. I don't normally give public reviews but when warranted.Arrived home to find about and inch of water in basement from an older galvanized water pipe spraying H2O ! Uuugh! Immediately shut wster line off to prevent further accumulation. At that time didn't have the 4' copper piping handy to replace and fix so called Lanz. Within 1.5 hrs Jessie came out and replaced the water line. He wasn't much of chit chat guy, okay with that though....he's one who gets the job done professionally, timely and would again highly recommend Lanz for any heating, plumbing needs! I don't give these recommendations lightly, as am very particular about contractors. No "b/s"...they get it done in a timely fashion, cleaned up any mess of repair and without gouging the customer.Great job Jessie and Lanz!

My problem was the old cast iron septic line had internal scale that had fallen down and created a plug and I had the toilet off so all they had to do was check it with the camera they ran an auger through cleaned out the mess checked a second time with a camera and all is good and the work was quite professional
