I completed a water heater installation by replacing the old unit with a new 50-gallon Rheem gas water heater. After disconnecting the old unit, I connected the new heater to the gas line and water supply, ensuring proper connections for both. I tested the thermostat and pressure relief valve for safety. The new unit is operating efficiently, providing hot water throughout the home.
Performed an HVAC repair after the system was struggling to cool. Found a clogged condensate drain line and low refrigerant levels. Cleared the drain line and recharged the system with R-410A refrigerant. I tested the blower motor and inspected the evaporator coil for any additional issues. After completing the repair, the system is now cooling effectively, providing consistent airflow.
Completed a water heater maintenance service by inspecting the anode rod for corrosion and testing the pressure relief valve. I also cleaned the burner assembly to ensure proper combustion. Flushed the system to remove sediment buildup, which can reduce efficiency over time. The water heater is now performing optimally, and the maintenance will help extend the lifespan of the unit.
The customer requested a drain cleaning professional to inspect their sump discharge using a camera. I accessed the system through the sump pit in the basement under the stairs. Heading north, I found a break in the footing tile about 20 feet out and a corrugated pipe near the new house addition. I also inspected the southeast corner but couldn’t navigate around the turn. The work area was cleaned, and the inspection video has been uploaded to Ridgid Connect for review.
The customer contacted us for plumbers near me due to a leak under the kitchen sprayer. Upon arrival, I began troubleshooting and found the hot/cold splitter leaking from a bad gasket. I tightened the connection and applied plumber’s grease to temporarily stop the leak. A new splitter was ordered, and I will follow up tomorrow. Returned on 5/31/24 to replace the gasket on the sprayer (south wall) and tested for leaks. Everything is working properly now.
The customer requested an HVAC contractor for an air quality test and to check for leaks in the HVAC system/ductwork. Upon arrival, I performed AC maintenance and found the system operating correctly. I checked for issues that might cause high VOC readings and allergy symptoms, including duct humidity, blower condition, coil condition, return ductwork, and refrigerant leaks in the evaporator coil. No issues were found. I recommended installing an in-duct Air Scrubber UV air purifier, and a quote is attached. The customer is also conducting an environmental test with another company. R-410a refrigerant is used in the system, and zoning was recommended to improve airflow upstairs.
I was called to fix a leaking outdoor faucet. Upon arrival, the customer explained the issue and I diagnosed it as a leaking wall hydrant. I cycled the wall hydrant on and off to make sure it wasn't an issue. The customer no longer wanted to replace the hydrant and explained how the vacuum breaker works. I rebuilt the wall hydrant and everything is working properly.

Cooling paid Tune-up on a Trane XE 1000 air conditioner, 3 tons, built in 1991. R-22 refrigerant based system. Low temp rise was cause for concern. Replaced 20x25x5 filter. Upon inspection of outdoor unit, found coils very clogged with debris. Refrigerant pressures are slightly higher than expected, likely due to airflow restrictions at condensing unit. Compressor is over-amping at startup, but considering age and efficiency, this is to be expected. Cleaned and rinsed outdoor unit thoroughly and ensured working order upon completion of maintenance. Reassessed temperature split upon completion of maintenance to ensure working order. Upon completion of maintenance, temperature split improved to 18.5°. Everything in working order upon departure. Recommend preparing to replace AC or entire system based on age and efficiency. Cooling paid Tune-up on an Amana SEER 14 air conditioner, 2.5 tons. R-410A refrigerant. Good temp split, good airflow. Replaced 20x20x4 filter. All electrical sign

Customer is in need of a plumber for a leak under their kitchen sink, one in the crawlspace and an AC drain backing up into the duct work. Came out due to possible condensate backup and because of a drain pipe leaking going into a cross fitting. Was able to cut out section of pipe going into cross and de-hub fitting. After dehubbing was able to couple in a new pipe (see attachments). Ran water for 5 minutes with no leaks. Examined evaporator coil and plenum in crawl space and found no signs of water “backing up” however I believe there could be a possible condensation issue; will have hvac tech come out next Tuesday between 8-12 to further diagnose and fix issue. No further issues at this time.
