Lanz is the best. We had fantastic emergency service when our furnace went out on a Sunday. Jeremy was professional, kind, fast, and went the extra mile.
Cannot recommend Lanz enough and thank them enough for their speedy speedy service today when a pipe broke in my kitchen, home alone with my baby and water flooding my kitchen and basement, they were there within 30 minutes and got to the problem and fixed it so quick. Even gave some love to my dog. So appreciate them helping and will continue to call them service.

I had a wonderful experience with Lanz. I called them in January 2026 due to my furnace not blowing out heat after the snow storm. I received a return call promptly and a technician (Will) was at my house in 45 minutes. After a thorough inspection, Will had identified the issue and worked diligently to fix it. His work included having to go in the crawl space under the house (in ridiculous temperatures) as well as work on the drain line of the actual furnace. Will ensured the furnace was functioning correctly before leaving. Additionally, Will collaborated with the office to find the best long term solution and walked me through what that process would look like, offering various options and explaining what each option would look like. Everything was clearly explained to me and I could not be more happy with the service I received.
During an unusual cold spell, one on our furnaces stopped working. I call Mattex, who I’ve used in the past. No answer, so I left a message. Next day, no return call, so I called Lanz. They answered my call, and said they could have someone out that day. In a FEW minutes, Greg, the technician called me to say the he could be at our home in about 15 minutes. He came to our home, quickly analyzed the issue, told me what the repair would cost, and resolved the issue. He also did other maintenance items as well. Great service!!!!! You have my business from now on!
2026-01-21Lanz fixed a rattling / flapping noise from basement furnace.Dispatch fee was the same - $79.00.Removing a chocolate bar wrapper from a blowing motor costed $235.00.I guess the wrapper flew inside the furnace when a stormy wind blew away garbage cans around neighbor on Monday.Service was prompt and professional so Lanz still deserves 5 star.However, I think the maintenance service cost is unreasonable for a simple fix - removing 4 screws, inspecing motor with iphones, and removing a wrapper.I wish they could lower the service fee for a simple fix under $80.---2024-11-06I called Lanz for help since my furnace made a loud noise on Nov. 5.Technician said my furnace has no issue on Nov. 6.I paid $79.00 for dispatch fee.My furnace stopped working on Nov. 12 so I called again.Another technician fixed the problem on Nov. 13.Their service is super-reliable, prompt, and honest.They did not charge dispatch fee for their 2nd visit.
We recently heard water leaking under the house and called Lanz Plumbing. They came right away and discovered the leak was coming from the Water company supply line under the house. They waited while the water company came and shut off the water outside. Then replaced a section of pipe and waited while the water company came back to turn the water on.Highly recommend getting a Lanz service plan so you are at the top of their list when you have a service call and so you get a service discount.In addition, a couple of years ago, The Lanz team installed our new furnace and heat pump in one day in a very tricky location under the house.The team was very professional and did a great job. After the installation a team member arranged to follow up and double check the system to be sure it was running correctly and to answer any questions.We highly recommend Lanz!
We had Lanz replace our furnace & AC in January. Our old furnace was failing due to a circuit board issue. Ty gave us an estimate for several different levels of Trane equipment. He even went into our crawl space to check the condition of our 40-year duct work. We selected Lanz because we wanted Trane equipment (very highly rated by Consumer Reports) and felt comfortable with the quality of Lanz' people. Our furnace failed 36 hours before the install date. I wanted to verify the install date, so I contacted Ty. He said they might be able to coax my old furnace back to life. Ty and Wes stopped by and revived our old furnace, so we were comfortable on a 20 deg F night. The install went smoothly and the new equipment looks great in our mud room. Lanz even noticed a poor connection on our hot water exhaust pipe and fixed it! Top quality service, thanks!

This was our annual HVAC inspection as well as the plumbing inspection. Chase was friendly and did a nice job with the HVAC. The plumber never introduced himself, never called in advance and had zero personality. He did the inspection but did not send a follow-up report. It seems that everything turned out fine though.
Last winter, they installed an ERV and a heat pump water heater. This winter Wes replaced my ancient gas furnace and A/C unit with a combination heat pump system with some rudimentary zone control. For the first time our top floor is neither too hot nor too cold. Great work. One step at a time, Lanz is turning our fixer-upper into a comfortable home.
On 12/16 We had Lanz crew of, Nic W. and Nic C. come out and do service on the new furnace and water heater they installed for us earlier this year plus, check all my plumbing. Didn't know that was part of the service but Very appreciated! They called before the scheduled appointment to see if they could come out early? Great! Furnace checked and cleaned, all faucets and drains checked. Got a detailed report on tests and operation. It even sounds smoother than before. Very good crew!Thanks guysMike
Shannon did a great job cleaning our main sewer line. I called around 4pm and he made to my place within a couple hours. Lanz is very professional and prompt. I even got a call when he was running behind to make sure I was aware of what was happening.
Wes and his 2 man crew showed up at 7 am on the coldest day of the year (-2). Removed old furnace and central air. Installed new Trane Hybrid (gas furnace/Heat Pump) combination system. By 3:30, they were finished (incredible speed and efficiency). The installation was beautiful…everything was done to perfection. They were very particular in cleaning up after themselves (Wes vacuumed the floors and swept the garage out). They hauled away the old furnace and a/c. Wes spent a good bit of time training us to use the high tech thermostat and the Trane app on my phone. Everything was professionally done…in short I highly recommend Lanz heating and cooling.
Great service, as always. Shout out to Victor, the technician; he was friendly and knowledgeable, quickly diagnosed the issue and had my furnace working again promptly. The tubing to the pressure sensor was clogged, and the burners wouldn't ignite, so it was cleaned out and the issue was resolved.
Called with Heating down headed into a very cold weekend and they were SWAMPED. Said it would probably be the next morning before they could get someone out. It was looking to be a cold night. An hour later they called back saying they had a technician on their way! We were up and going shortly after. Thanks for squeezing me in! (Also did a great job with testing and diagnostics, and quick on the repair, very thorough)
Labor to find a faulty part that is under warranty. Will pay another $175 to have new/replacement part installed. The outside mini-split unit froze up badly. The circuit board burnt from short circuiting.
Kurt came to look at our bedroom heating issue last week. After talking through all the options (upsizing ducts, mini split, etc) he looked at the furnace, found a tiny, very high, out of reach louvre handle to the upstairs main. It was almost closed! Got it flipped open and our bedroom has been a good 5+ degrees warmer consistently!Appreciate him being honest and seeing if this would work. He chose to show me, and didnt down play the louvre or try to up sell us.His genuine care and trying the simplest thing first will have us coming back to Lanz for our future needs and big future replacements!
Service call for hvac, less than one hour. Price was high and he said it was for 1.5 hrs. When questioned, he said 30 min was for travel time. This is on top of what they charge for “service call” of $85. When asked if this wasn’t for travel fees, apparently it is not. I called the office who promised a call back which never happened. Very high fees for just tinkering with blower motor and adjusting some vents.
I would highly recommend Lanz. Kurtis thoroughly explained the different systems available to me for purchase. He was knowledgeable and patient with my questions. The installation team was polite, knowledgeable, and made sure I understood my new HVAC system. I am so pleased with how smoothly and quickly everything went that I will continue to use Lanz and will recommend them to friends and family.
