I arrived to preform the annual sewer inspection. I inspected the line from the 4” PVC Clean Out, located at the back of the house. The line is all PVC and is in good shape, there is a dip in the line out at the septic system, this doesn’t appear to be causing any issues. Arrived at the home of a customer who states their garage heater was making a rattling noise. I heard the cabinet rattling. Tightened cabinet fasteners. Monitored heater operation. This solved the problem and all is working as it should.

Our customer complained of a gas smell coming from their boiler. I found a gas smell coming from their boiler. Recommend boiler maintenance with an Ultra 105 Series 2 maintenance kit. Will send a quote for maintenance.

Arrived at customer home for furnace maintenance. Changed filter. Cleaned system components. Tested system. Found weak blower capacitor. Rated for 7.5 uf + or - 10%. Measured 5.9. Recommend replacement. Sent a quote. System working good. Replaced humidifier pad. Plumbing maintenance was also performed during this visit. Checked all stops, drains, sinks, toilets, showers, garbage disposal, and water heater Unclogged slow sink drain in master bath No issues at this time

Upon arrival, checked out downstairs bathroom shower. Shower was dripping. Shut off water, removed stems and inspected faucet. It appears to be an old Price Pfister double handle not sure of the model without model number it will be hard to find parts. Recommend replacing faucet with single handle delta and remodel trim kit. Customer also had an upstairs hallway toilet that was leaking into the bowl. Started rebuilding toilet found that fill tube On the flush valve was loose and leaking toilet is an old crane and tank bolts are completely rusted is a chance the tank could crack in the process of removing the bolts Especially if they need to be cut off tried to glue tube back together on flush valve and rebuilt toilet with new fill valve Flapper and supply line dye tested toilet found a small amount of blue dye leaking into toilet bowl. Flush valve will most likely need to be replaced.

I arrived at the scene and found the furnace off with no error message or active call for heat. I initiated a heat call and the furnace began operating properly. While looking at the components, I noticed that the flame sensor wire had broken away from its rusted connection. I cut the old connection away and applied a new connector to the wire. I also cleaned the flame sensor. After restarting the furnace, I measured the flame sense signal 3ua and the system is now operating properly again.

Arrived at customer's home and performed furnace maintenance. Dropped off (1) 20x25x5 air filter.

I completed a follow-up visit to a Bosch heat pump installation. I enabled the accelerated heating setting, added a condensate drain to the fresh air intake, and adjusted the suction, liquid, and delta T settings. I also serviced a gas furnace, adjusting the gas pressure, static pressure, and delta T settings. System is operating as it should.

I found a burst copper line in the crawlspace and repaired it. I returned the next day to repair the water line. I cut out the section of pipe and rebuilt the area from 1-1/4” down to 1” copper pipe. I secured all connections and restored the water. I did not see any further leaks at this time.

I replaced a customer's aquapure uv bulb filter and reset the timer. Everything is working properly now.

I was called to check out a tankless water heater that was not working properly. Upon arrival, I found that the water heater was set up in Cascade mode, but the error code 439 indicated a flow sensor issue. I removed and cleaned the flow sensor, but the issue persisted. I reset the cascade communication. I followed the reset process, but the issue remained. The flow sensor might be defective. I ordered a replacement part. If the issue persists, manufacturer will warranty the flow sensor, but only if the code persists. I also noticed that the thermal expansion tank had failed and needed to be replaced. I will order a new tank and return to install it.

I arrived at the job site and found a leak in a fitting connecting the PVC to a brass fitting. I retrieved the necessary materials to replace the fitting and closed all valves to keep the water in the loop. I then cut out the leaking fitting, drained the water, cleaned and reattached the loop with new fittings, and filled the system back up with water. The system is now operating properly without a leak.

I arrived at a clogged main sewer line in the backyard. I accessed the line through a 4" PVC cleanout. The line was clogged under the house. I used a 3/4 cable and 1/2R3 and R4 cutters to clear the blockage. The line was 120 feet long. The cause of the blockage was feminine hygiene products. I performed a post-cleaning camera inspection and found the line to be broken near the end of the driveway. The top of the pipe was broken out. No other structural issues were found at this time. I uploaded videos to Ridgid Connect and sent information to Underground for repair estimates.

Customer is searching for a plumber due to a clogged sink drain. Upon arrival the technician discovered the clogged B-sink drain. The trap and stopper assembly were obstructed by sludge. The technician cleaned them out removing the sludge. The drain line over to the main was also cleared. 5/16” Cable 3’-5’ Sludge. The technician reinstalled all parts, and filled and dumped the sink several times. The sink is draining properly. The work area was cleaned by the technician before departing.

Tried swapping the battery case with the other thermostat and it still wouldn’t turn on. The thermostat is wireless so it is only powered by batteries. The thermostat is bad and needs replaced. I ordered a new MHK2 kit from Trane under PR 12705, they said it could be delivered tomorrow. Quoted $558.04 for the repair. Only collected dispatch fee today. 6/5/24 Returned and replaced thermostat. Set it up for the equipment and tested operation. Everything ran correctly, at this time the system is operating properly.

Upon arrival the technician drained and flushed water heater due to water being cloudy; in doing so, the technician also had to replace drain valve with full port valve so heater could drain. After draining was still having the same issue in hot side likely meaning tank has severe scale build up and recommend replacement to correct issue. Heater is still functioning properly beyond that at this time.

Customer searching for HVAC contractor due to unit not cooling. Upon arrival the technician noted the customer had a Comfortmaker air conditioner, 3 tons, made in 1997 that utilizes R-22 refrigerant. The technician also noted water leakage from the furnace. Upon initial inspection, the interior coil was not draining properly. Condensate pump was working correctly. Verified pressures and superheat and sub cooling on air conditioner, everything in range. Further investigation revealed that condensate drain line had obstruction causing leakage. After clearing drain line with compressed carbon dioxide, assessed interior of evaporative coil as well. Significant dust and debris buildup from years of use has caused airflow restriction, making leaking worse. Vacuumed interior of evaporative coil to improve airflow, but a full coil cleaning would be necessary to solve the issue permanently. Upon arrival the technician found a large area in a storage closet was wet where the flooring was soaked all the way through. It is difficult to determine at this time, whether the condensation line is leaking or the evaporator coil drain pan is cracked. Recommended replacing the first section of drain line through the floor and inspecting evap coil. Checked system pressure to see if EVAP coil was freezing and thawing out causing the large amount of water, system may be low on R-22. Also recommend a full system tune up to determine this. I did not notice anything out of the ordinary with the HVAC system, everything was operating correctly and clean.

Inspected, tested and cleaned all, the system components as needed. It seems like due to dirty sensor the IFC wasn’t receiving proper flame signal. I tested operations in 1st & 2nd stage with the system operating properly and reaching set temperature.
