Customer searching for Air conditioning repair due to system not cooling. Upon arrival the technician found the system completely empty of refrigerant. A previous technician had recharged the system the night before. This technician pressurized the evaporator coil and line set and found the leak in the evaporator coil. The customer was quoted $1,827.33 to replace the coil. Collected dispatch and leak search fee today. Customer is going to speak with the Replacement Division manager about quotes for replacing the system.
Customer is searching for a water heater repair professional to replace a water heater. The technician arrived to replace the water heater (40-gallon natural draft/ NG). Had to disconnect humidifier bypass to get access along with removing water meter. After doing so placed new heater into closet. Added in shutoff for hot water heater. Replaced shutoff valve for humidifier due to old one being a saddle valve. Reconnected gas. Turned gas na seats Ron and tested for leaks and bled air. Verified everything is working properly.
Arrived to diagnose sump pump. 4” + of water in basement Existing pump was not able to pump water out fast enough and was beginning to fail Replaced existing pump with Liberty 237 Once new pump was installed technician could see water level going down Temporarily hooked up a piece of 1 1/2 pvc on the outlet outside to get water further away from house Technician stayed for a while to ensure pump was draining good Customer has questions about his battery backup system and pump in the back yard. Technician was not able to answer those questions and recommended a senior technician to come out to trouble shoot back up pump and help explain the system. 3. Customer is searching for a furnace repair professional due to smelling gas when they turn the furnace on. Upon arrival. The technician found that the condensate trap completely clogged and inducer motor making a loud rattling noise. The technician cleaned the trap, checked inducer capacitor and made sure there is no obstruction on the flue pipe and or inside the inducer compartment. The unit is now closing the pressure switch and reaching set temperature. But the inducer motor needs to be replaced before it fails completely, however, due to age of the unit (34 years old) the technician recommends replacing the unit.
