Boston replaced my dripping bathtub/shower valve, which took four hours and involved cutting new access panels, cutting and fitting new pipe, going in and out of the crawl space. He did meticulous work and was very efficient, explained everything; bathroom vastly improved. I highly recommend him and lanz. Beautiful job!

AC system went down in the middle of a heat wave. After multiple refrigerant leaks and years of issues, I decided to get a full furnace/AC replacement. Lanz was quick to come out, assess the system, and provide a quote. Despite being swamped due to the heat wave, Lanz's comfort consultant, Kurt, spent as much time as needed to take measurements, listen to concerns, and provide all of the options. After getting two other quotes, Lanz fell about in the middle for cost, but their thorough explanation of options and responsiveness to questions and concerns put them over the edge. Just as an example, after discussing with me how my old system was working, Lanz actually took the time to properly size the system, while competitors tried to upsize the AC system despite issues with short cycling in the past. All work was completed in a morning for a full furnace/AC replacement, and the team was professional. The new system has been working great, and I'm happy I ended up choosing Lanz.

I talked to Shannon about having my toilet back up looked at. It was a Friday early morning and with in an hour he had someone out. They took care of my inside back up and checked the outside sewer. Lanz comes every 6mo to perform maintenance on our HVAC system that was installed in June of 2022 based on the service plan we purchased. They contact us to schedule the appointments. They are flexible to accommodate our schedule. They communicate clearly. And provide friendly service while the work is done. They make sure all our questions and concerns are answered before they leave. We are very satisfied with the HVAC system and their service to date.

Be cautious when dealing with this company. We were surprised by multiple expensive fees that were not disclosed upfront when we scheduled our appointment. Transparency is important, and unfortunately, that was lacking in our experience.

The people at Lanz had previously been very helpful and competent. However, we have a leak in a pipe with hot water, and we are without water and heat for the past four days, and they have promised and promised without delivering. We wait and wait for the promised service and they never respond. The temperature in the house is in the low 50s and we are miserable.

7/28/25We had Lanz install a new heating and air system in our home. Everyone was punctual and professional and prepared! The installation crew (Kevin, Cody, and Ethan) took the time and effort to protect our carpet with floor covering as well as the rest of our property. After the installation the only evidence that they were even there was a new furnace and air conditioner that works perfectly. We have used Lanz for all services that they offer including Plumbing, Underground Solutions and Drain Cleaning. We will continue to use their services and make referrals.5/20/24Thank you, Matt! I called Lanz at the suggestion of a friend, Sue Gass, who recommended them. The gentleman who came to deal with my issue (leaky toilet, identifying whole house water shut off) was named Boston Williams. What a great guy! He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. He gave us multiple opportunities to ask queations and gave us great information. I try to support local since I live in Coles County, but my recent service from locals was less than satisfactory. I am so relieved to know that Lanz will be my go-to for all my plumbing, heating and cooling needs. I highly recommend Lanz!My most recent experience was with two great young men, Will and Josh. Will did maintenance on my furnace and heat pump and Josh checked my hot water heater. All great guys. Showed up on time, were very pleasant and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Lanz.

We’re really happy so far with our new system from Lanz! The touchscreen thermostat is a huge upgrade from our old Nest—it’s much more user-friendly. The house is staying comfortable, even on 90+ degree days, which is a noticeable improvement from our previous setup.We had a small hiccup during payment when I initially tried to use an expired card, but it was quickly resolved. The new card had already arrived—I had just overlooked it. Lanz was professional and understanding throughout, and we really appreciate the great service.Overall, the experience was smooth, professional, and genuinely impressive—we’re so glad we chose Lanz!

UPDATE: 7-8-25. Received a call the next day. I appreciate people and companies who are not afraid to admit a mistake was made. I understand things happen and I appreciate Lantz reaching out to me and explaining what happened. They didn’t have to but they made it right……thank you.FIVE stars for the Tech who did the work, he was great.Friendly and explained everything. Communication is highlighted on Lantz website but it was a major issue for me. Reported this problem on Saturday, received text advising someone would contact me soon. Never happened. Reported again on Sunday & received a call advising someone would be there around 5 or 6. No one showed up. Eventually received a call after 8 pm advising they would be there tomorrow. They eventually showed up at 5:30 pm on Monday. I bought the system from Lantz around 5 years ago and I pay the annual service (Orange). I expected better. 5 stars for the Tech 1 star for customer service.

Last year Lanz sent someone to fix a small leak in my Condensation drain line. This year there was a crack found in the connect from my condensation drain line to the cooler coil as a result of that pipe being cut from last year causing another leak.. I paid for the repair $314.I’m hoping for fair compensation due to this second leak as a result of previous work.. my condensation line was found clean and NOT CLOGGED this year and the pan was also clean.I also have water damage as a result of this leak.. there is mold present and my drywall and carpet is ruined as a result. I’m willing to accept/negotiate fair compensation! Please help

I called them at 10pm on July 2 because my AC stopped cooling. The technician called me and explained that he couldn’t get here that night but would be here the next morning around 9am as I would be the second client. I called the office in the morning and they explained it would probably be a little bit later in the morning. So the repair person arrived at my house around 11:30 AM. He diagnosed the problem and had everything working for me by 1:00PM. I am very pleased!

Ac tune up on 7 yr old Trane inverter system. Filter inside is still good. Static pressure is .56. Coil is clean and temp split was 16. Outside inverter looked good with no visible damage. Cleaned outdoor coil. Recommend adding a surge protector to help protect system against potential damage caused by power surges and preventing costly repairs.
