Found the system low on refrigerant. Added 1 lb r-22.
Customer is in need of an HVAC professional due to their Geothermal unit not cooling. Found the system not cooling. Found the compressor not running with a call for cooling. Found a bad compressor capacitor. Replaced capacitor. Cleared and treated condensate drain. Customer is searching for furnace repair due to furnace not turning on. The technician found batteries in the thermostat were drained and run capacitor on the blower motor already out of specs reading 4 out of 7,5 mfd. changed the batteries and replaced the run capacitor. Tested operations by running the system in cooling and heating mode for about 15 minutes. I’m sending customer a quote on replacing the rotten flue pipe between chimney and inducer. It will need (2) 6” elbows (1) transition from 7 to 6” and around 8 feet off duct. ( refer to picture in attachments) if customer approves it, this repair can be scheduled at same time with the AC maintenance. I applied 15% off to today’s work due to customer has signed up for Blue comfort family plan.
