Our technician arrived when we were told to expect him and I appreciate that he called a few minutes before he would actually got here. He was friendly and courteous.We had him inspect our HVAC system since it is 8 years old and we wanted to be sure everything checked out for these cold days we’ve been having. We were very happy with his work and he was efficient.
Josh helped me set up an awesome custom duct for ventilating my 3d printing space in the basement. I'm also looking forward to the full duct cleaning next week. Their prices are very reasonable and their service and quality are excellent. Would highly recommend.
The people at Lanz had previously been very helpful and competent. However, we have a leak in a pipe with hot water, and we are without water and heat for the past four days, and they have promised and promised without delivering. We wait and wait for the promised service and they never respond. The temperature in the house is in the low 50s and we are miserable.

I called Lanz at the suggestion of a friend, Sue Gass, who recommended them. The gentleman who came to deal with my issue (leaky toilet, identifying whole house water shut off) was named Boston Williams. What a great guy! He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. He gave us multiple opportunities to ask queations and gave us great information. I try to support local since I live in Coles County, but my recent service from locals was less than satisfactory. I am so relieved to know that Lanz will be my go-to for all my plumbing, heating and cooling needs. I highly recommend Lanz!
We hired Lanz to replace our Water Heaters and HVAC units. They did a professional job at a reasonable price (competitive, not the cheapest). They kept open communications throughout the process. Excellent team and work!Update: They have a terrific maintenance service that preemptively takes care of HVAC, plumbing of homes before problems arise. They are a very reliable company.
"Excellent Service" doesn't do them justice.We had the coldest days of the year this year (January of 2025) with expectations of sub zero temperatures. Our home had the original -- tired -- HVAC system that came with the house and it decided to go out -- as it does -- at the worst possible time. It was discovered that we had multiple gas leaks, a broken heat exchange and a bad regulator. We were encouraged to buy a new system.It was a bit of a crisis. We have an 8 month old and have had some financial setbacks. The day before severe weather I called Lanz and was told by dispatch that someone might not be able to reach us until the next day. Luckily a technician came by after regular hours to take a look at our furnace and discoved the problems I mentioned. Our sales rep also came by that same day so we could get things moving as soon as possible. He was able to schedule installation within the same week with a reasonable payment plan. Foretunately we only had to use space heaters for a few days.Installation was fantastic, they went above and beyond to take care of our install. They even had plumbers on hand to take care of our gas leaks the same day.Everyone involved was compassionate, knowledgeableand timely. I highly recommend Lanz.
The Lanz guys came out on a Saturday and were very quick and efficient in clearing the roots out of our pipes causing our sewage lines to not drain. They will be our go to for all of our plumbing needs from now on!

Lanz technicians came to my house for a frozen pipe that burst. They came after hours, when they were short staffed, and still went above and beyond to fix my leaking pipe. They were fast, understanding, cordial, and provided outstanding reliable service. Highly recommend.

These guys are geniuses. They found an accessible clean-out that previous business call had missed entirely. (Lanz used a prod and their keen ears to unearth a buried clean-out.) Quality work all around. Loyal Lanz now.

Someone came out same day. Great. They didn’t do anything but take off a filter (that should be on) say that was causing the issue and they left. Although it resolved the issue for over half a day, right now we’re right back where we started with a hot water tank that won’t stay lit. And we still don’t know what’s wrong with it. Going to have to pay someone else a fee to come out and really do some work…Not satisfied at all… they asked for the review… HERE IS MY HONEST REVIEW.

Outstanding! The technician who came out was so knowledgeable and helpful. Our toilets were overflowing and it turns out there were roots in the pipes and he solved it all in one afternoon! (After we paid a different company $1100 this morning to disassemble our toilet and tell us they couldn’t do anything today because they need to break up our concrete patio and rent a back hoe.) We are so grateful for Lanz Plumbing and their expertise. We are customers for life.
I've been a member of the Lanz Comfort Club for several years. They come regularly to check my furnace and air conditioning and keep their appointments. Their technicians are always polite and informative and the keep things clean. I highly recommend Lanz and its Comfort Club.UPDATE: Recent incident with Lanz. I recently had a new air conditioner installed. That part was done well. When time came to write up the invoice, I reminded the technician that I was a member of their Orange Club. He apparently checked and said that I was not listed. I've been paying my monthly fee for decades. The technician said he would take care of that. Shortly after, I needed some plumbing work. Once again I reminded the technician that I was a member of the Orange Club. Once again it was checked and was told that I was not listed and that my membership had been terminated earlier that month. No one had told me. So, I asked him to leave. I later filled out the online form for membership. That was months ago. No response still. Was I placed on some black list? It was an unpleasant end to a long and satisfactory business relationship. Very disappointing.
LANZ Plbg & Htg responded promptly for a service call regarding a leaking toilet. Technician arrived about 30 minutes later. Technician diagnosed the problem and ended up working through two attempts at replacing wax seal. After 2nd attempt and thorough testing toilet no longer leaked. Next day noticed there was a slight rocking back and forth. Called LANZ again on Friday at 3pm. Another Technician arrived in 20 minutes. Performed full diagnostics and replaced bolts and shimmed toilet so it no longer rocks. Tested toilet thoroughly and had me inspect. All's good and Technician did a great job. No fee charged for call back. Great service and overall a positive experience.

I'm beside myself right now. 2024 has been hard. I received a phone call from Wes telling me that he heard our family is in need of a new furnace. Lanz is gifting us a new furnace with insulation at no cost. Wes came out personally this morning to take measurements and calculate everything needed. I'm in shock. Our furnace went out on us a couple of weeks ago, and I've been stressing about what we were going to do. Thank God this prayer is being answered. I know it sounds cliche, but I can't thank Lanz enough for all they are doing for us. When you are so far down and things keep going wrong, this pulls me back up and gives me more reassurance that things are getting better. This is life changing, and I will never forget. Thank you again. We are so thankful
We have used Lanz twice now in the last couple years - first to replace a water heater, and second, to install a toilet and new supply line for it. They did an excellent job in both cases, dealing with 70-yr-old galvanized steel pipes. Maybe we could have saved a little money shopping around more thoroughly for the cheapest quote, but we wanted the work done right, and in that regard we are very pleased.
I had a weird intermittent problem with my furnace that only happened under very specific conditions. I called Lanz and asked if someone could come take a look. The service tech (Greg Weitekamp) performed routine maintenace and began troubleshooting. He asked if he could take a look at the ventilation pipes going through the attic. He identified an exhaust ventilation issue within 10 seconds of being in the attic. He proceeded to remedy the problem and upon completion, tested the unit to ensure everything was operating as intended. The ventilation pipe was installed over ten years ago and had been missed by a few home inspectors. Greg handled the repair with ease and urgency. He really went above and beyond in my opinion and represented his employer well during this visit. After talking to Greg about routine maintenance and how I should handle everything in the future he suggested that I sign up for a maintenance plan, which I did. I look forward to future visits from Lanz and thank Greg for his time and effort! I highly recommend Lanz to anyone needing routine maintenance and/or help with an outage.
