Towering seven stories, 303 E Chalmers St. in Champaign, IL, stands as a beacon of modern living. During construction, Lanz, Inc.’s four-man crew provided complete heating, cooling, and ventilation solutions, showcasing our ability to handle complex, large-scale installations with precision and expertise.
The building comprises 96 apartments and an open parking lot on the main level, presenting a unique opportunity for our team. Our comprehensive HVAC installation for the building involved a complete duct system, 96 split systems, four mini-split systems, three city multi-mini-split systems, two ERV units, and an elevator shaft vent.
This project presented several challenges, including the integration of a comprehensive duct system within a limited space. The integration of multiple systems allowed for a strategic HVAC design to meet the building’s climate control and air quality needs. Our crew implemented unique strategies to accommodate the architectural constraints and maximize space utilization and energy efficiency.
Throughout the installation, our team ensured efficient airflow and ventilation, individualized climate control, versatile heating and cooling, and optimal indoor air quality.
