Operation Honor Guard
Lanz, Inc. Supports Operation Honor Guard
Here at Lanz, Inc., we are dedicated to giving back to the community and this spring, we’d like to honor our Veterans and Honor Guards as a part of Operation Honor Guard’s ‘Day of Giving’.
Beginning April 13, 2021, we ask our customers to allow a Lanz employee to record a video of them during their service call. Our intent is to have veterans, active duty service members, or people who want to honor/recognize a veteran or service member close to them, share why they think honor guards are so vitally important to our community. These videos will be shared on social media. Lanz, Inc. will be making a donation to Operation Honor Guard for each customer video and finalizing for Operation Honor Guard’s ‘Day of Giving’, on May 13, 2021.
About Operation Honor Guard
Operation Honor Guard, NFP is a 501(c)(3) that raises money for veteran service organizations that provide military funerals for fallen veterans. The organization was started by Rich Darby, a funeral director in Danville, IL, who saw the need to help the Honor Guards in his hometown replace mismatched and worn uniforms. Members of Honor Guards often pay to acquire their own uniforms and gear. Many even pay their own travel expenses. Operation Honor Guard, NFP’s mission is to outfit every Honor Guard in the United States.
