Lanz did a great job for me! They sent a plumber out first, (after another firm I will not name said my outdoor pipes were fine). The plumber from Lanz was very knowledgable and he explained why he thought the problem was in my exterior drain pipes. (I had been having a persistent drainage problem for months that was very perplexing). I agreed to have an exterior pipe cleaning team from Lanz come out to see what they could fine. They first cleaned and TV'd my line from a manhole in the right-of-way to the entrance into the house, and removed significant root material, (but the problem persisted). After further inspection they determined I had two lines out from my house when they found a cleanout in the back yard. they proceeded to clean out and TV that line as well with more root materials being extracted. They also confirmed that this line wrapped around the back of my house and connected to the main line. I appreciate having this knowledge for future issues. But, the problem still persisted. This is where I really appreciate the two young guys that were working this problem. I was worried they would say that was all they could do and leave, but instead they were still determined to solve the issue. I really appreciate this as they could have left at that time. One of them decided to take the TV equipment into my basement and check the cast iron pipe out. Sure enough they found a blockage in the short run of vertical cast iron pipe in the basement. After clearing the outside pipes and eliminating the outside pressure, they were able to force the clog out with pressure from above. The sense of relief to have this issue finally determined and resolved was huge. I am leaving town for 7 weeks soon and the thought of leaving my wife with plumbing that didn't work was not acceptable. I really appreciate that the two young guys Lanz sent to my house were absolutely determined to solve my issue no matter how long it took. I have worked with Lanz before with HVAC issues and they have always been great. This time was exceptional! Thank you Lanz!Also, I now have a great video of the entire run of drainage pipe from my house. This is great to have for future potential issues. They also recommended methods I could use to help reduce future root intrusion, and we made an appointment for them to come back in a year and simply recheck everything. Again, thank you Lanz.
